Semporna & Sipadan

Malaysia's Crown Jewel of Diving with Legendary Sipadan Island

Sipadan is an oceanic island rising 600 meters from the seabed in the Celebes Sea, creating sheer walls teeming with marine life. Jacques Cousteau famously described it as "an untouched piece of art." The Malaysian government limits daily dive permits to 176, preserving its pristine condition. Divers regularly encounter green and hawksbill turtles on every dive, massive schools of barracuda and jackfish forming swirling vortexes, and whitetip reef sharks resting in caves. Nearby Mabul Island is one of the world's premier muck diving and macro photography destinations, home to blue-ringed octopus, flamboyant cuttlefish, and countless nudibranch species. The combination of world-class wall diving at Sipadan and exceptional macro at Mabul makes this region uniquely rewarding.
